XPower F2915/12 XLight 1600 RPM/V 72g Cased Outrunner

The Hacker A2022L (?) motor I installed, per plans recommendation, in my Inside F5J lost its smoke. I tried fitting another Hacker in there but just couldn't get the new one in, as the wires couldn't clear the slot without dragging on the rotor--probably the cause for the original motor short. Also, the Hacker rotor was scratched, indicating that there had been some contact with the nose block. I would have had to do some significant surgery to get the new motor in. The XPower outrunner in a case was the perfect solution--it just slid right in and had the same mounting hole pattern and I didn't have to worry about the spinning rotor touching the sides or wiring. Plenty of power and much cheaper than an inrunner/gearbox combination. It's about 20gr heavier than the original Hacker, but that wasn't an issue, as it was easy to rebalance the model. Worth the extra cost compared to the original Hacker. I should mention that the HyperFlight price, incl. shipping to the US was less than anything I could find my side of the Pond. (I hope current politics doesn't change that!) I have some possible F3J to F5J conversions that I might consider using this motor. In any case, I'm through with conventional outrunners!

Had a cheapish 28mm motor from a well know brand, never did like the 3 wires going back past the spinning motor in such a small space, so i replaced it with the XPower motor, not only is the very well made but the extra thrust is is well worth the few quid extra.

Good motor at a reasonable price, fitted in my Geronimo 2 nicely, being cased there is no way to trash the power leads

Purchased for my Arthobby Evolution. Fits in like a dream with wires coming out of the rear end.
Only need an 8 x 6 prop drawing 26 amps, and it gets my Evolution (1020) grams up at 11.2 m/s on a 900 mah 35c lipo. Fantastic.

I use this motor for the Joy F5J model. It fits the model perfectly (size and weight). To my pleasant surprise, with a VM 10x6 prop, this drive is surprisingly quiet, and the model can rapidly climb to altitude on a 3S battery. I am pretty happy with it so far.

Great motor for F5J

I put this in a 3.5m Yellow Jacket,
1230g.
I've just maidened it on the weekend with old batteries. This motor has plenty of grunt with the VM 11x7 prop. I'm well happy with my decision to use it.

Great quality built motor. Needed rear entry wires to fit in very narrow fuselage. Also great that in runs inside an outer case. A1
