IDS mounts for MKS HV6130 servosI purchased a Nan Explorer 3 V tail from Neil last fall and have slowly gathered the bits an pieces for assembly this winter. However, after watching several videos and getting input from fellow club members that also own Explorers, I purchased a pair of MKS HV 6130 servos for flaps. I ordered two sets of IDS assemblies for the new servos and have now started the installation process. While the quality of the IDS units is excellent, the lack of instructions is a miss in my opinion. I am grateful that others have taken the time to create some in-depth videos on how to properly install these units. They are tedious to install, but upon completion (by following along on the videos) they are amazing in performing the required task of moving wing control surfaces. Thanks Neil and Hyperflight for great service and quality products.

NICEThis is a great way to install servos! Much cleaner and more precise. More work to install but well worth the effort.

Excellent mail order service ! Generally well moulded parts with tight tolerances. Used these to replace an RDS setup that I was never really happy with. Took a little bit of effort but the IDS fitted in well. The selection of drive rod lengths is an excellent way to go. I had to relieve the sides of the servo end of thr drive rod to fit in the servo horn as it was a little tight. Otherwise great.

SR IDS for HV6130First about servce: In a word, fantastic. UK to Cali in one week.
The product itself works well but installation directions are lacking. Hypeprflight has posted more info about how to do the installation than anyone else but there was still a lot I had to figure out for myself. I think once you have done a few, its not that hard but if you have never done one, there is alot of figure out.
I did a fair amount of hand work on the pin-holes to make it easier to get the pins in and out.
